Meet Chelsea and the team

How it started

Chelsea Anderson started working with animals in 2015 as a dog walker and pet sitter. From there she moved to a veterinary office, where she got her first real look at grooming. By 2017 she was grooming full time.

In 2021 she opened Pooch Purrfect Pet Spa. It began in a modest space behind the house she grew up in. As more families found her, the business moved to its salon at 17742 Main Street, and one groomer became a team.

One client at a time.
One relationship at a time.
One opportunity at a time.

How she works

Good grooming is about how your pet feels during the appointment as much as how they look at pickup. Chelsea reads body language, slows down when a pet needs it, and won't push a groom past what's safe. She tells you what she noticed, like a skin issue or a sore spot, so you can follow up with your vet.

She keeps learning, too. Chelsea is an AKC S.A.F.E. Certified Groomer, a program from the American Kennel Club that covers salon safety, handling, and animal well-being. The team is first aid and CPR certified.
